Apple Pectin contains both types of fibre - 25% soluble and 75% insoluble fibre. The insoluble type of fibre acts like a sponge. It swells, absorbing cholesterol, bile acids, heavy metal salts, radionuclides and in this form, passing through the digestive tract, removes them from the body. Insoluble fibre is very useful if there is a tendency to constipation. It will not only reduce or prevent constipation, but also regulate the stool in general. Passing through the intestines with other foods, pectin absorbs cholesterol and other harmful elements that are difficult to remove from the body. In addition, pectin is able to bind ions of radioactive and heavy metals, normalising blood circulation and stomach activity. Another advantage of the substance is that it improves the general microflora of the intestine, has an anti-inflammatory effect on its mucous membrane. Pectin is recommended for ulcer diseases and dysbacteriosis.
